Call forwarding

How to forward your existing phone line to your Bookline number, with activation codes for the main Spanish carriers.

Call forwarding lets your customers keep calling the number they already know, while the calls are actually answered by your Bookline agent. Your telephony carrier redirects incoming calls from your public number to the Bookline number.

Most carriers support two modes:

  • Unconditional — every call is forwarded immediately, without ringing at the venue. Use this when the agent should answer everything.
  • Conditional — calls are forwarded only if the line is busy or if nobody answers after a number of rings. Use this when your staff answers first and the agent acts as backup.

You can also combine forwarding with schedules on some carriers (for example, forward only outside opening hours). If you want a schedule-based setup, ask your carrier or contact our support team.

Dial these codes from the phone line you want to forward, replacing [Bookline number] with the number you purchased. If your carrier is not listed, search for “call forwarding” plus your carrier’s name, or ask our support team.

  1. Activate the forwarding with your carrier.
  2. Call your public number from another phone.
  3. The Bookline agent should answer. If it doesn’t, check the code was dialed from the forwarded line and that the Bookline number was typed complete and correct.

If everything looks right and calls still don’t arrive, contact support — we can see whether calls are reaching the Bookline number and whether they arrive forwarded or direct.
